Well, I spend a lot of time reading blogs and I have enjoyed myself immensely. So, I decided I would give this a try myself - I am really not sure what to expect at all. I hope that I will be able to post frequently.
I began cross stitching when I was twelve. A neighbor taught me how and from that point on I always seemed to have a project on the go. Of course, there were many periods where I did not get anything accomplished. This would be from the time I got married and got a job and went to school until my babies were a bit older. Of course, I now take stitching with me everywhere. I have my travel projects and my home projects. I don't have any UFOs and I still plod along on the same thing until I complete it. I usually try to complete a large project and then follow it up with several smaller projects. I know a lot of you have rotations so that you can have more than one project going at a time. I am ok with my system for now - it works for me. I do however have quite the stash collection. I don't have a LNS in my town - the closest one is about 2 hours away. So, I look on ebay as well as several ONS that I have found.
My current project is American Promenade by Annie Beez Folk Art. I am using good old DMC floss. So far, I like the way this is turning out. I usually try to stitch a bit each day. It provides a nice balance for me with the rest of my hectic life.
Blessings,
Melissa
